For Eight Years an Alabama Belle Has Been Presenting Paris

Retired elementary school teacher Virginia Jones left Birmingham, Alabama, to visit Paris for the first time in March of 2007.  She was blown away.  Took lots of tourist pictures.  Around that time she became more serious about her photography.  When Virginia returned to Paris in November 2008, she did it with a photographer's eye and with the intention of sharing her love of Paris on a blog.  Paris Through My Lens launched on November 27, 2008.  A few days later Virginia showed us this photograph of Galeries Lafayette in the holiday season.  Nine subsequent trips have fueled her archives and kept the blog fresh.  And, as you read this, Virginia is wrapping up another two week Paris visit, gathering still more material for our enchantment.

  1. Virginia is quite a talented photographer. It's been my pleasure to explore Paris with her and I look forward to many more visits.

Actually, it will probably be first on Facebook, or Twitter, or maybe you'll hear about it from the nice old guy next door. Whatever the case, if you have news to share, how about sharing it with us, so we can share it with everyone and actually make these pages useful?
